The Chesapeake Music Guide called her “. . .the voice. . .” and ". . .a guaranteed show stopper. . . .” and has also worked with some of the nation's top blues and/or R&B artists such as Blues Guitar Legend Bobby Parker; Ron Holloway; Charles "Big Daddy" Stallings; Tom Principato; Tommy Castro; Deanna Bogart, Ronnie Baker Brooks, just to name a few. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, this lady began her musical experience at an early age, and experienced her first recording experience when she was very young with the Recording Choir of the First Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, Baltimore, Maryland. At that time, the Late Bishop Leo K. Ceaser was the Pastor. Later, she sang with a variety of local gospel groups within the Baltimore-Washington, DC area, and later joined a local group in the Oakland, California area. During her gospel experience, she has had the opportunity to work with national artists such as the Late Olivia Branch Walker, The Hawkins Family, the late Rev. Hardie Clifton of The Brooklyn Allstars, the late Willie Neal Johnson & the Gospel Keynotes, and the Late Gloria Spencer; just to name a few. During her early years, she was exposed to various jazz and blues artists such as Count Basie, Ray Charles, BB King, Bobby Blue Bland, Jimmy Smith and McGriff, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Nancy Wilson, Aretha Frankin; just to name a few. However, her love for Motown and Soul were her major desires, and her main influence was Gladys Knight. There are other influences, but Gladys is her favorite. Nadine has the ability to captivate audiences wherever she performs. Her rugged, yet soulful delivery illuminates energy and passion that spreads throughout the room. Her on-stage energy is addictive, with lots of heart, laughter, and soul. Nadine has reached many venues throughout the region. Recently, she opened for The Godfather of Go-Go, Mr. Chuck Brown; as well as Shemekia Copeland, Buddy Guy, Blood, Sweat, & Tears; Kenny Wayne Shepherd & Double Trouble; B.B. King, Jennifer Holliday, Big Bill Morganfield; the Late Olivia Branch Walker, The Rev. Timothy Wright, and a host of others. Nadine has performed on stages such as The Rams Head On-Stage, Annapolis, Maryland; The Calvin Simmons Auditorium and The Henry J. Kaiser Auditorium Oakland, California; The Park Center, Charlotte, North Carolina; The State Theatre, Falls Church, VA; and various Chesapeake Bay Blues Festivals (Sandy Point, Maryland, sponsored by the Bay Blues Organization); and other backstage blues festival locations, sponsored by the Chesapeake Music Guide). These are to name a few. Nadine is a multi-year award nominee (2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009) as the Washington Area Music Association's (WAMA) Best Female Vocalist (Blues/Traditional R&B). She is the featured artist of Rich Chorne latest CD release entitled, "The Rich Chorne Allstars featuring Nadine Rae," which also received a 2006 WAMA nomination for Best Blues Recording for the song, "Ain't No Cuttin' A Loose." Her songwriting skills for tunes such as “Thinkin’ About It” and “This Thing Inside of Me” were introduced on Chorne's CD. Now, Nadine has released a CD compilation of her live performances, and is entitled Nadine Rae Live !!
